Beetham Tower Manchester

Called the Hilton Tower by locals, the 47-storey Beetham Tower, designed by Ian Simpson, is the city’s tallest building.  Standing at 168 metres, the landmark construction can be seen from 10 other English counties on a clear day.  It is the tallest residential building in the UK with the first 22 floors used by the Hilton Hotels. Floor 23 is houses the Cloud Bar, while floors 25 and above provide apartments and penthouse apartments.

Kasbah Tamadot

Marrakech, Morocco

Situated in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the majestic Kasbah Tamadot was bought by Richard Branson in 1998 after he spotted it during a ballooning expedition.  The Kasbah was the former home of Luciano Tempo, a renowned antiques dealer and interior designer who filled his home with tables, sculptures and ornaments he had collected from India, Indonesia and North Africa. Many of the pieces from his vast collection have been used to furnish the Kasbah today.

The Kasbah Tamadot opened its doors to its first hotel guests in 2005 and each of its 27 rooms has been individually decorated to reflect architecture from around the world,  The hotel has dedicated staff from the local Berber villages.

National Museum of Bosnia and Herzogovina

The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 1888. In 1913, the museum building was expanded to include a structure of four symmetric pavilions.  These contain the departments of archaeology, ethnology, natural history, and a library.

The museum was closed for several years following the war but has now re-opened and is a cultural and scientific institution covering a wide range of areas including the oldest Sephardic Jewish document in the world issued in Barcelona around 1350.  The museum also has a library housing over 162,000 volumes.
