v01.07.00 Go

Signal strength information for Taurus devices is now available directly from the panel in commissioning mode. This replaces the need to connect to each translator individually through a USB cable.

While the signal strength screen is open, the panel will not report new fire or fault events. Ensure to exit this menu once checks are complete.

Argus wireless translators and expanders are now identified by the panel as radio interfaces instead of zone monitors. Additionally, power supply faults on these devices are now reported as ‘Supply fault’.

Support has been improved for Apollo REACH wireless interfaces when EN54-13 is enabled. More than three REACH interfaces can now be added to a loop without the panel reporting a short circuit fault.

If an attempt is made to access a password controlled function from access level 2, such as the ‘Disable’ menu, and an incorrect password is entered, the panel will display ‘Password not recognised’. On pressing the tick key while this message is displayed, the panel would default to access level 1.

This firmware update ensures the panel remains in access level 2 and the current user settings are retained.

If a detector has alarm verification enabled, the verification countdown timer will start when the device reaches high-alarm. Previously, this countdown timer would start when the device enters pre-alarm state. This improves the accuracy of the alarm verification timer.

The microphone self-test option for Axis-WSM sounders can now be enabled or disabled using the configuration tool. This gives installers greater flexibility where site conditions may affect the self-test result.

After a magnet test, Argus Taurus detectors using non-latching input actions can now be returned to normal operation using the panel reset button. This removes the need to power cycle the panel to return them to normal.

Diagnostic logging has been improved so that when the panel is re-booted, temporary faults which occur as the panel initialises are no longer recorded as active faults.

If sounders have been programmed to operate from a point test, they could have remained on after the point test has finished. This has been rectified to ensure the sounders turn off once the point test has finished.

Occasionally, when requesting a password unlock key from Advanced Technical Support, the unlock key would not work. The updated firmware ensures all password unlock keys work when provided.

If a panel was configured with an investigation delay, it could briefly display “$$$$” when the delay timer expired. This has now been resolved.

If an Argus wireless device was in fire condition during a loop short circuit, the wireless device LED would remain on after the panel reset button was pressed.

Once the short circuit condition has cleared, performing a reset now turns off the wireless device LEDs if the fire condition is no longer present. Devices will also show as ‘Initialising’ instead of ‘Reset’, until they return to ‘Normal’.
