We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Antonio Telesca as our new Managing Director. With a distinguished career spanning aerospace, lighting, fire safety and international business experience, Antonio brings a wealth of expertise to drive Advanced’s continued growth and success.
Hailing originally from Italy, Antonio’s professional odyssey has led him to work and reside in multiple countries including Holland, France, Finland, and Indonesia. This extensive international exposure has equipped him with valuable cross-cultural insight that will be instrumental in steering Advanced’s global business expansion. His new role will see him based close to Advanced’s headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, where he has relocated with his family.
Antonio began his career in aeronautical engineering, where he honed his technical skills and developed a deep understanding of complex systems. He later transitioned into roles in the lighting, fire detection and emergency lighting industries, where he held progressively senior roles in project, R&D, operations and general management, including successful stints contributing to the strategic growth of multinational companies Philips and Schneider Electric.
Throughout his career Antonio has gained in-depth understanding of product value, supply chains, customer needs and successful delivery of products, systems and solutions to market. This strong track record in international business growth and transformation was most recently exemplified by his stewardship of a large manufacturing unit in Indonesia.
As Advanced’s Managing Director, Antonio is poised to harness his enthusiasm, dedication, and determination to inspire teams, foster innovation, and enhance customer experiences. His comprehensive perspective, coupled with an innate ability to align technical prowess with business strategy will form a key part of the company’s continued success.
Antonio, who also holds an Executive MBA from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, said: “I am excited to join the exceptional team at Advanced and lead this dynamic organisation into the future.
